A Snowy Nevada City Session – The Gracia Family

This beautiful session came with its perks, WHITE SNOW! It also came with a few downfalls (quite literally, actually) also, WHITE SNOW! This session took place along highway 20, right past Nevada City, with a gorgeous family. They had just moved from Southern California, to be close to family and they had a special request for snow, so we made that happen and loved the challenge. When we got there, I was scouting out some areas to take photos for this little family, and my boot decided to slip out from under me and I landed quite hard on my butt on the ice! We decided against walking any further down that path, with 2 adults holding two babies under 2, so we decided upon this ridge. the sun was coming through the trees, and the snow was capping the tree limbs and trickling down. It was absolutely stunning. It was windy, and quite chilly, and we found it a little difficult to keep the little one’s minds off the fact that it was FREEZING. We did, however, happen to get some really beautiful portraits for this family and we DID manage to capture a few smiles. It was definitely worth it, and we all now have a really fresh idea of what the snow feels like for photos.  I totally believe that it was worth it for these family memories.  citrus heights family photographer dad and boy portraits sacramento family portraits citrus heights orangevale folsom loomis granite bay father and son portraits northern california photographer folsom family photographer portraits professional granite bay family photographer grass valley family photographer holiday family portraits rocklin loomis roseville folsom granite bay loomis family portrait photographer nevada city family photographer nevada city snow photography session family photographer sacramento family photographer snowy family portraits tahoe tahoe family portraits snow
