I absolutely love these guys! Jenna and Kris are friends of Brian’s {my hubby}, and they became a couple a couple years back. They pulled off this amazing wedding with all types of DIY elements, and the beautiful grounds of Jenna’s parents’ house in Nevada City. This wedding was full of redwood rounds, pops of red for the bridesmaid shoes, matching the cherry blossoms on the wedding cake, burlap wrapped centerpieces, gerber daisies, a classic car, and cowboy boots for the bride.
It was beautiful! The bride and groom opted for a first look, and they couldn’t have had a better location to do it… the little dock over her parents’ fully stocked Koi pond.

The awesome bride’s gift was made by one of the groomsmen who is a blacksmith/welder. He made them out of a file! And engraved them. Quite the workmanship if you ask me!
We continued the first look for a little while! I very strongly recommend the first look. This gives the bride and groom a relaxed experience BEFORE the wedding to get their photos done, in possibly better light, and without the stress of having to rush their photos to be able to get back to their guests! The story about this shot is that, Kris surprised Jenna, with a new addition onto her ring. He got her a wrap for her engagement ring. It had diamands and sapphires, and was absolutely gorgeous!!
Their first dance was AWESOME!! It started out as a slow song, and then scratched, and they went into a full routine!! It was so great! Here is a snippet of their awesome first dance! They had it perfectly choreographed, I think this was during the Michael Jackson’s thriller part!! LOL
and there there was dancing!!
This shot was a special request of the bride. Turns out, her and her best friend have been taking pictures in this chair for their whole friendship for every big event. They weren’t going to miss this awesome opportunity, and neither was I.
