I went in search of a photographer for my maternity photos, and I happened to find someone that I felt was very talented, and who had a style I liked. I contacted her in hopes that she would be able to shoot my maternity photos at my father-in-law’s property in Auburn. I found out that she lived all the way in Yuba City, so I was totally ready to pay for a travel fee to bring her down. What I got instead, was an offer to do a trade for family photos for her family. You better believe, I was more than open to that!! Her name is Kirsten, and she is the photographer of Kirsten’s Captured Moments.
Let’s just say she is amazing, she made me feel comfortable, which being a photographer, is not the easiest thing to do. I love being behind the camera, and not so much in front of it, and she actually made that process easier.
I can’t wait to use her for baby Wesley’s newborn photos. I was thinking of doing my own photos, but the possibility of having a c-section, as well as just being new to mommyhood, I thought that it may be a luxury that I just couldn’t refuse.
Here are a few of my favorites from MY maternity session, and then I will go on to show you this awesome photographers session that I shot of her picture perfect family.
