I met this family back in 2012, when I did their maternity and newborn photos. I was still new on the scene as a photographer, and baby Ethan was one of the first newborn sessions that I did. Now 4 years later, this family contacted me to do their family photos, and I am so honored to have clients like this that come back to me! I can’t say it enough, how lucky I am to have 1. beautiful clients and 2. clients that are so natural and organic in front of my camera. You can literally FEEL the love oozing out of these pictures. I get emotional when I look at the expression on this mother and father’s face, when their baby is holding onto them, and you can feel the bittersweet feeling that they are feeling. This is the time in their child’s life that he is getting more independent, and not wanting to hold onto them like he did when he was a little guy. It’s almost heartbreaking, but so insanely rewarding to be a parent. To have such an impact on someone’s life. I know that one day, my son, is not going to want to hold onto me, but instead, play and be busy. All I can say is, soak it up while it lasts and stay present in the moments that melt your heart. There are so many, but childhood goes far to fast and is so fleeting. Hold on as long as you can!
Here is one photo from Ethan’s first photo shoot with me, and then here are his beautiful family’s photos from about a week ago!
